- Name for brand
- Logo for brand
- Look at bottle shapes
- Find ways to step away from current connotations
- Look at current products that are targeted at women - how are they so - make a list of the range these products.
- Take pictures of bottles in shops - what makes them stand out
- Chose colour scheme
- Come up with range of situations / emotions that can connect with whisky drinking
- Packaging - chose a range, size, stock etc
- Primary research - who drinks whisky, what attracts people to a bottle.
* Clarified Brief and Rationale. (the brief will keep changing so I need to keep changing and updating it)
* Design sheets showing concept development, examples of range, design format, content and proposals, examples of designs and developments.
* Test pieces, prototypes - scale, stock, colour - try and work out if they are going to work or not.
* Samples of stock / product formats - even if you cant get them mocked up then just bring in samples that you have collected - gives a sense of what it is going to be and how it is going to function.
* If the whisky brand isn't working then re-visit the briefs and apply all the deliverables / range to a different subject - potentially a food product - look back the the M & S Brief.
* Primary / Secondary Research on blog - for the crit isolate specific pieces of information to focus on
* Distribution Details and Methods - gives people who are looking at it a clearer idea, the more specific I am, the more detail I can give about product etc, show it, don't just say it
* Define & Specific Audiences - there may be multiple audiences, what details can you give to help people understand; music they listen to, the food they eat, the shops they use, their price range, their jobs etc - get into the head of the audience.
* Specific Content - what designers, what am I going to say, quotes, statistics, headers, images, typefaces, colour
* Exploration of Range - and what range means, is it about different format, contents, different things I need to bring together, could be conceptually. What is the clear statement and decision I am making about the range and how I am going to investigate it.
* Mock up the boards and ways to present it. Some things are going to have to be on the blog and some things need to be physically shown. 5 presentation boards - enough info so that people can see it.
* PROGRESS EVALUATION - need to control the feedback so need to look at the feedback I got today, how I responded to it, say what you did and need to find out where to take it from there.
