Speaking From Experience - Brainstorming

NEW EXPERIENCES

  • graphic design
  • attempting to manage time
  • learning to try and manage money/student loan
  • to be on time
  • meeting new people
  • learning to prioritise
  • talking - be more open and to communicate with everyone!
  • how to research efficiently
  • balancing between work and play
  • learning about software/programs
  • learning to be independent
  • new city - new nightlife

DIFFICULTIES I HAVE OVERCOME

  • Not waiting until the last minute to do work
  • being late - getting up with the alarm goes off rather than putting it on snooze!
  • managing time and the amount of work i should be producing in a certain time period
  • BLOGGING - keeping it up
  • exhaustion - getting used to the intensity of the course, combined with less sleep and going out
  • money/shopping - learning to curb it
  • drinking too much
  • software - learning new skills
  • the roads - used to be terrified of crossing/cars - now calmer!
  • cooking - could cook before but its more to do with the effort of having something different and healthy every night

LIFE EXPERIENCES

  • curbing spending - temptation of shopping right on doorstep
  • document/write about everything you think of as you go along so it is easier to keep track of ideas and how you get to final outcome
  • washing up
  • dont leave things to the last minute
  • how to use mac
  • learning not to worry so much and just getting on with it!
  • learning to organise time/life/work
  • time management
  • make mistakes - you learn from them

MEDIA - INTERESTED IN USING

  • Different stocks
  • hand rendered images - edited on photoshop
  • layering
  • booklet/information/quick small info fun book (loo book)
  • photography

SUBJECTS AREAS I AM INTERESTED IN

  • MONEY MANAGEMENT - being a girl in leeds with lots of shopping opportunities on the door step. learning how to resist the urge to spend all the student loan on clothes, shoes and unnecessary items just because you see your bank balance!
  • MAKING MISTAKES - you learn from your mistakes rather than your successes, making mistakes opens you up to more opportunities and may take you down a new/alternate/interesting route. You become more daring, not afraid to try something new in fear of getting it wrong
  • BALANCING - how to balance work and social life. Too much work = no life now, Too much play = no work later. Its finding a balance which is hard, you cant work all the time and you have to enjoy/make the most of everything -BEING REALISTIC
  • HOW TO PUSH YOUR WORK FURTHER
  • HOW TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
  • HOW TO GET THE BEST FROM THE COURSE
